Gaming first, work second

At this price a dedicated graphics card only comes in imported units (US "DX" or Asian "AX" models). They run modern games at 1080p on low to medium settings, 3–4.6× faster than the built-in graphics in office laptops. The trade-off is a shop warranty instead of the brand's.

RX 6550M has a single published Time Spy result, so treat it as roughly equal to the RTX 3050. Built-in graphics scores assume two RAM sticks; with one stick they drop sharply.

What the listings don't say

Fine print found while checking

Renamed old chips

Ryzen 3 30 and Ryzen 5 40 are the Ryzen 3 7320U and Ryzen 5 7520U: 4 cores with 2-core graphics. Ryzen 5 7430U and Ryzen 7 7730U are the 2021 Ryzen 5 5625U and Ryzen 7 5825U.

Soldered 8GB

One soldered stick runs single-channel and can halve built-in graphics speed. The fix costs ৳18–20k in DDR5 today.

Copied spec sheets

The Acer Aspire Lite claims a 16:10, 100% sRGB panel at 1920×1080. The Dell Pro 15 Essential and Asus TUF A15 are listed as "carbon fiber". Import listings mention "Intel AI Boost" on AMD chips.

"RTX" on a budget card

The RTX 2050 has 4GB on a 64-bit bus and scores about 70% of an RTX 3050. Imports with a 3050 often cost the same.

"Military grade"

MIL-STD-810H is a set of tests the manufacturer runs on its own laptop. It is not an independent certification.

"Brand warranty" on imports

The same imported Victus is advertised with 1, 2 or 3 years depending on the shop. Treat it as the shop's promise, and get it in writing.

Before you pay

Imported laptops

Check the serial number on HP's warranty check page (support.hp.com, "Check warranty"). It shows the country of sale and the warranty start date. A start date months ago means old or refurbished stock.
Get the warranty written on the invoice: how long, who repairs it, and whether parts are covered.
Check the box seal and that Windows shows as activated.
Run a game for 10 minutes in the shop and listen to the fans.
Ask about the charger plug. US units may need an adapter.

Any laptop

Confirm two RAM sticks: Task Manager, Performance, Memory should say "Slots used: 2 of 2".
Tilt the screen. If colours shift heavily, it's a TN panel.
Check for dead pixels on a full-screen white and black image.
Call first. Stock and prices change daily; Cyberbull's own site says prices can change several times a day.
